Service Description

I am familiar with IEP and 504 protocols, adaptations, modifications and goals with my experience as a parent, teacher, and tutor. I can help develop plans for student accommodations. I can also function as a liaison between student, home, school, sp. Ed, and other support services to advocate collectively for your child. I help determine the types of assistance a child will benefit from in formal and informal contexts and accommodate these plans into my teaching and tutoring. I brainstorm ideas in creating goals and accommodations for student IEP and 504 plans. I can attend student IEP and 504 meetings to assist, advise, and advocate for students. I oversee the follow-through for IEP and 504 plans for students to be sure the modifications and goals are being honored and followed and suggest modifications as needed. Recognizing that not all students are meant to “fit into a box,” I am a passionate supporter of advocating for children and alternative education. I am a proud provider for the Utah Fits All scholarship program (https://schools.utah.gov/utahfitsallscholarship). *Much of this is built into my teaching and tutoring services, but should there be a situation requiring extra time and attention, or services separate from my tutoring services, these are the prices.. ** The typical IEP / 504 meeting process takes an average of 3 to 4 hours, in preparation, attendance in meetings, and analysis and incorporation of goals into a child’s educational plans.
